Guangzhou is seizing opportunities under RCEP

Guangzhou is going to hold a cooperation roundtable with business representatives from the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) countries on December 29th. Documentary about jade sculptors to air on CCTV

The Jade Masters in Pingzhou, a documentary which features the craftsmanship and spirit of the jade sculptors in Foshan’s Pingzhou, will be broadcast on CCTV-10 at 9:20 pm on December 27th.
Two International flights from Air China to be suspended: CAAC

On December 25th, the Civil Aviation Administration of China announced the suspension of two Air China’s flights, as passengers on these flights have tested positive for COVID-19.
Metro to extend operation time until Spring Festival

Starting from December 24th, Metro Line 1, 3, and APM Line will still open to passengers half an hour after their normal operation time.
Guangzhou Baiyun airport launches new security channels at T1

Since December 24th, a new security check-in area with 24 channels debuted in Area A of Terminal 1 of Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport. The upgraded security area is enlarged and equipped with smart devices that offer efficient services for passengers.
Over ¥66 billion smuggled goods seized by Guangdong police

Guangdong police, customs and coast guard jointly solved more than 13 thousand smuggling cases from January to November this year, seizing goods worth more than 66 billion RMB.

Guangzhou, Auckland, Los Angeles start new round of cooperation

On December 21st, Wen Guohui, the Mayor of Guangzhou City, Phil Goff, the Mayor of Auckland, New Zealand, and Eric Garcetti, the Mayor of Los Angeles, the United States, signed a memorandum of cooperation for the tripartite economic association among the three cities. It means that the three cities will start their third round of cooperation from 2020 to 2022.
Update | Nansha local coronavirus case imported from Myanmar

The 31-year-old asymptomatic carrier reported in Nansha on Sunday was confirmed as being infected by a visitor from Myanmar who stayed at the quarantine hotel, according to the a press conference held in the afternoon of December 23rd.
